Pastor Stovall is calling our church to a “congregational fast,” that is, a time in which our church prays and fasts together for a common purpose.

Biblical fasting is the practice of voluntarily staying abstinent from food for spiritual purposes. Jesus declared that when He left the earth His disciples would fast and pray (Matthew 9:15). He also declared that there are special situations where only through prayer and fasting miracles would manifest (Matthew 17:21).

We are asking God to move in a miraculously way in four major areas:

1. Spiritual awakening to the power and presence of God
2. The next generation (i.e. children and youth)
3. Greater global missions impact and participation
4. 2.4 million dollars in 2008 (towards our IMAGINE campaign)

God answers prayer and He listens closely to His people when they pray and fast. Let’s seek God in this season to move in a miraculous way both personally, in the lives of the people of Celebration Church and corporately for His church.
